Special Event
August 1st and 8th, 2009

Nash's Culinary Intern Mike Shethar to present "The Seasonal Kitchen - Tips for Year-Round Local Eating" at the Sequim Open Aire Market.

Located next to Nash's booth in the Market Square, chef Mike will be preparing and presenting the day's produce throughout the day, beginning at 10:00 a.m. He will share recipie ideas and preparation tips for all the produce that can be found throughout the Market each week. This event will be a great opportunity to learn more about seasonal eating and about the abundance of delicious produce that comes from the Peninsula, as well as a great opportunity to watch a professional chef at work!

In addition, information about the local Farm-to-Cafeteria movement will be provided and donations for this important program that aims to provide our students with healthy food choices will be accepted throughout the day.

The Sequim Open Aire Market is located on Cedar St. in downtown Sequim. Please visit www.sequimmarket.com for additional details.
