Robert Nankervis began making Jewelry as a hobby in 1962, where his experience as a Quality Control Engineer in the Aerospace industry made for a rigorous attention to craftsmanship in his art. Upon moving to the Mendocino Coast of California in the late 1960's, he met and married Suzanne Frewin and they collaborated in their own craft gallery and jewelry studio for 8 years.
Moving to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington State in the early 1980's, we have been happily working from a home studio on our land near Quilcene, doing major art shows, custom designs, participating in Galleries, and wholesale work.
Our love of the land and the inspiration we derive from Nature, has led to the development of another passion: the ardent collection, pressing and arrangement of Nature's bounty in beautiful, imaginative original pictures. These original, botanical creations can then be reproduced as archival quality prints and greeting cards. A color brochure of the original botanicals is available on request.
Living intimately on the land provides us with a limitless resource and inspiration for our art. And our commute is only 28 steps!
