Hippo Pots specializes in function pottery -- coffee mugs, soup bowls, serving platters and so on.
Every piece is hand made, but microwaveable and dishwasher safe. All of the glazes are tested
for durability and safety. No lead or cadmium is used in these glazes.
The goal of this pottery is not to substitute for fine art, but to be a part of everyday life in your
home. The texture of a glaze, the balance of a tumbler, and the shape of a handle, are viewed
equally as practical and aesthetic issues.
